Along the quiet banks of the Arno River in Florence, Italy, two women shared a vision — to create something poetic, something lasting. In their small studio, YuMe Design Studio was born. Its name, drawn from the Japanese word for dreams, would become the spirit of their work: gentle, artful, and magical. Emanuela brought years of experience in product development and design and Valentina, a designer, artist, and illustrator, had a gift for capturing nature, whimsy, and storytelling in every brushstroke. Together, they imagined a space where art and lifestyle could meet, where beauty and practicality could live side by side.
From that riverside studio, their ideas took flight — into patterns, palettes, and product lines that spoke to a life lived with intention and quiet joy. Grounded in their knowledge of manufacturing and surface design, YuMe Design Studio now brings its signature blend of elegance and emotion to a variety of lifestyle products. Philosophy
YuMe — meaning “to dream” — was born from the vision of a young girl who longed to be an artist. In the quiet beauty of her childhood garden, Valentina’s mother shared words that would shape her life: “You must take care of your dreams, as we do with flowers, if you want to see them blossom.”
This tender wisdom became the heart of YuMe’s philosophy. Dreams, like flowers, need nurturing — patience, care, and love — to flourish. Each of YuMe’s four collections carries this spirit, infused with romanticism, whimsy, and the belief that imagination can lead to new worlds, fresh visions, and endless inspiration.
